Prof. Oak.
Donavan McIntosh is the photographer and creative director behind Oneofakind Photography in Nassau, Bahamas.
It started with design.
Donavan McIntosh started designing at 17. Long before he picked up a camera, he was learning how type, colour and composition hold attention on a page.
That training still shapes every frame he takes. He composes a portrait the way a designer lays out a cover, with intention in every corner.
A camera for video, and a change of plan.
In 2014 he bought his first camera to shoot video. Within months he was spending more time on stills than on footage, and photography had quietly taken over.
A year later, in 2015, Oneofakind Photography was born in Nassau. Since then it has photographed hundreds of couples, families and individuals.
Every session is a performance.
Donavan treats every session like a performance. The set is dressed, the light is shaped and the direction never stops, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands.
Friends and clients call him Prof. Oak. The name stuck because he teaches as he shoots, guiding every pose until it feels natural.
Clients arrive a little nervous. They leave having had the time of their lives, with photographs to prove it.
Hundreds of couples, families and individuals since 2015. Every one of them deserved to feel like the cover.
Let’s make something oneofakind.
Weddings, engagements, portraits and families. Tell me about your moment and I will take it from there.
